I am delighted to announce that I am returning to my beloved Japan later this year to perform in the new play Lady Macbeth written by Jude Christian. I'll be performing at Yomiuri Otemachi Hall in Tokyo from October 1st until November 12th and also at Kyoto Theatre from November 16th until November 27th.

I'm incredibly excited to be joining this extraordinary group of actors and creatives, but especially to be playing Macbeth opposite the Lady Macbeth of the wonderful actress Yuki Amami. I have met Amami San a few times and seen her work, which is astonishing, so I'm honoured to be sharing the stage and learning from this icon.

Particularly thrilling is that my friend of many years Will Tuckett will be directing this play. Will and I have been working together since 1990 so to be able to embark on a new adventure with someone I admire, respect and trust so much is wonderful.

Japan, I can't wait to see you all again!
